My Approach

With thirty years of clinical experience, I offer a compassionate, whole-person approach to mind-body wellness, recognizing that every individual’s journey is unique. I’m an LCSW clinical supervisor, the mother of two children, and the grandmother of three. I enjoy staying physically active, being in nature, experiencing different cultures, spending time with my standard poodle Neo, and spending time with friends and family. I bring a holistic perspective to my work since the mind and body significantly impact each other and can’t be separated. I understand that life can be challenging, and I aim to support you in healing, growing, and thriving mentally and physically.

I sincerely appreciate the complexity of the human experience, which is why I’ve worked in a variety of environments—from battered women’s shelters and medical and psychiatric hospitals to juvenile detention centers, prisons, and substance abuse treatment centers—gaining insight into the diverse ways people struggle and heal. My approach is rooted in empathy, non-judgment, and a commitment to your growth. I believe in helping you understand that your symptoms are often survival strategies you’ve developed, not a reflection of who you are. Together, we’ll explore how to balance these strengths so your authentic self can emerge confidently and clearly.

I have a passion for helping people overcome sexual abuse, trauma, anger, anxiety, PTSD, and other challenges, and I’m incredibly dedicated to supporting those looking to break free from the grip of smoking. Throughout our work together, I can offer a safe, accepting, and responsive environment where you can feel comfortable healing, making lasting changes, and achieving optimal wellness.

I am a survivor of trauma, and I know for a fact healing is possible with the right kind of therapy.
